Woman's Right to Know legislation would require access to ultrasound imaging of a woman's unborn child and electronic audio recording of the unborn child's heartbeat. Thirty-one states have some form of informed-consent law on the books and twenty states specifically require information about the availablity of ultrasound imaging or require the performance of an ultrasound before an abortion. The Massachusetts Catholic Conference has consistently advocated that these laws be enacted in the Commonwealth.
