ARCHBISHOP HENNING ASH WEDNESDAY MESSAGE

Asks for Catholic Faithful to give what they can for the Catholic Charities Collection to serve the most vulnerable

On Wednesday, March 5, Archbishop Richard G. Henning will lead his first Ash Wednesday observances as Archbishop at Church locations in the Archdiocese of Boston.

Archbishop Henning said, “On Ash Wednesday, we will be reminded that we are dust. This grim truth is in fact good news because the same Lord that formed us from the dust has promised us renewal and rebirth through the gift of His beloved Son. May this season of Lent be a time of grace for you and for the whole Church. May we all remember the love of God and the Lord’s boundless mercy. May we turn from sin and renew our trust in the Lord. May we commit ourselves to be those who hear and do the Word of God.” See video message.
