Fortnight for Freedom June 21 to July 4, 2015

ATTEND OUR SPECIAL DIOCESAN EVENT ON JUNE 26!

All are invited to join Bishop McManus for a special Mass for the Protection of Religious Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015 at St. Paul’s Cathedral in observance of the national Fortnight for Freedom, a 14-day period of prayer, education, and action for the protection of our fundamental right to religious liberty.  The Mass will be followed by a light reception downstairs in the Cenacle and a presentation on this year’s theme, Freedom to Bear Witness, by Sister Constance Veit, l.s.p.  Sr. Constance is the communications director for the Little Sisters of the Poor, a religious community  dedicated to serving the poor, sick, and elderly.  They are one of the many religious non-profits whose very mission is threatened by the government’s HHS mandate.  DOWNLOAD THE EVENT FLYER HERE.
